On the heels of UNLV QB Matthew Sluka deciding to sit out the rest of the season over an NIL contract dispute, Dan and the Danettes consider the state of college football and where it’s going considering the financial rules which are now encouraging player empowerment. Dan blames the upheaval on a distinct lack of foresight from the NCAA who clearly fumbled the ball a long time ago and failed miserably to anticipate what we all saw coming.
Dan Patrick: “You also have this player empowerment that is...it’s, it’s coming. Whether you like it or not, the NCAA fumbled the ball many years ago. They could have come up with something that would at least be able to plug the dams. There’d still be water leaking here, but they failed miserably. They had no foresight on this.”
