The first round of the NBA Draft is tonight, and Duke’s Cooper Flagg is expected to be the first overall pick by the Dallas Mavericks. Unlike most top draft picks, Flagg will be going to a contender and won’t be asked to step in and carry the team as a rookie which should allow him to develop quickly. And at the tender age of 18, if he signs supermax contracts whenever he is eligible, he may become the first player to eclipse $1B in earnings on the court.
Dan Patrick: “Understand this; he’s 18 and I said he’s probably going to make a billion dollars on the court in the NBA when it’s all said and done…”
