Non-Pittsburgh Sports Moment of the Day

During this time of social distancing, we've been bringing you a Pittsburgh Sports Moment of the Day to help combat the sadness that comes with no sports. I've also been posting a non-Pittsburgh Sports Moment of the Day as well, something memorable that is not directly related to Pittsburgh sports.

On this day in 1991, the Atlanta Falcons selected quarterback "Brett Favor" from Southern Mississippi in the 2nd round.

Falcons Head Coach Jerry Glanville did not agree with drafting Favre, and that didn't change when Favre's first NFL pass was intercepted and returned for a touchdown by the Washington Redskins.

The real favor came a year later, when the Falcons traded Favre to the Packers for Green Bay's 1992 1st round draft pick.
