Even when apologizing, AB's biggest flaw is still present

Today on Instagram, former Steeler Antonio Brown posted an apology to Ben Roethlisberger.

“Mostly you, a little bit of me. Yee yee! I never realized how good I had it, got caught up with emotion with everyone coming after me I really apologize for my actions sincerely man! It’s never been another connection like what we done in the last decade. I appreciate you. Sincerely, AB.”

It’s hard to have it better that the two of them had it. I’m sure Roethlisberger misses AB on the football field, or he will when he comes back.

They were GREAT together.

Here’s why I just don’t buy AB fixing himself, though: even in the apology, he says, “I got caught up with emotion with everyone coming after me.”

That’s an apology wrapped up in an excuse. He’s sorry that he doesn’t get to do the thing he liked to do that he was really good at. That part I know.

But saying he went after Ben because people were going after HIM? Come on, bro, you started it.

The first step in fixing a problem is admitting that you have one. AB’s biggest problem is that he’s a narcissist. And there’s always going to be someone else to blame.

Even in apology, he’s still finding ways to make it not his fault.

The guy’s never going to change. Period.
