Sidney Crosby dug for the loose puck and was able to shuffle it over to Jake Guentzel, who like always, made no mistake.
That was the biggest goal of the season. The Penguins only needed one point to avoid playing Washington in the first round of the playoffs. Guentzel's goal earned the Penguins that much needed point.
The Penguins can absolutely beat Washington. That series is always a coin flip. This year is no different. But I think they have a better shot of beating the Islanders in round 1. Hey, maybe Carolina can give Washington a run for their money.
I love playoff hockey. I'd rather watch for a month than just for a couple of weeks. Jake Guentzel's goal gave us all a better chance of seeing the Penguins advance and make that happen.
