First Annual Rockin’ on the Mon RiverFest to Kick Off Summer with Two-Day Music Festival
MONONGAHELA, PA. (June 18, 2024)— The Noble J. Dick Monongahela Aquatorium (“Monongahela Aquatorium” or “Mon Aquatorium”) has partnered with the Washington County Tourism Promotion Agency to kick off the 2024 Rockin’ on the Mon concert series with the first ever RiverFest, a two-day, family-friendly music festival at the amphitheater June 21-22.
“Washington County is proud to be home to a unique and vibrant music scene that reflects the exceptional talent of those in our region. The Monongahela Aquatorium is a place worth sharing with visitors, so partnering with Aquatorium Innovations on this first-ever RiverFest is just one of the many exciting ways our agency continues to position our county as a premier venue for a thriving music scene and music fans from all over,” said Jeff Kotula, president of the Washington County Tourism Promotion Agency.
In addition to seven musical acts playing over the course of two days, the festival will feature food trucks, yard games and beverage tents for attendees to enjoy. Boaters are encouraged to dock near the stage, and attendees may bring their own chairs or sit on the bleachers, which accommodate up to 3,700 guests. DJ A.J. Fresh will keep the entertainment going in between acts. Featured acts, in order, include:
· Friday, June 21, 4:30 p.m. – Stampede
· Friday, June 21, 6:30 p.m. – Buckwild Live
· Friday, June 21, 8:30 p.m. – Bon Journey
· Saturday, June 22, 2:30 p.m. - Day One
· Saturday, June 22, 4:30 p.m. – Broom
· Saturday, June 22, 6:30 p.m. – Gene the Werewolf
· Saturday, June 22, 8:30 p.m. – The Commonheart
The Washington County Tourism Promotion Agency is also sponsoring a RiverFest t-shirt giveaway to the first 100 attendees through the gates on each of the two concert days.
Tickets to Rockin’ on the Mon RiverFest may be purchased in advance at monaquatorium.com. Cash admission at the gate is $10 each day, and cash is strongly encouraged throughout the venue.

Built in 1969, the Monongahela Aquatorium was renovated in 2012 and the concert series launched in 2013.
